
On Thursday, 9th April 2026, the District Chief Executive for North Tongu, Hon. Victoria Amefadzi Yawa Doe, received a courtesy call from the Lead Connect Global Volunteers Group, a team made up of Ghanaian and international volunteers committed to empowering young people through mentorship.
The engagement focused on exploring collaboration to equip young people with practical skills in financial literacy, public speaking, CV writing and bookkeeping. The initiative aims to strengthen youth capacity and prepare students for future academic and career opportunities.
During the meeting, the group outlined plans to extend their mentorship programmes to selected schools within the district, including Aveyime Battor Senior High Technical School, Battor Senior High School and Mepe St. Kizito Senior High Technical School.
Hon. Victoria Amefadzi Yawa Doe commended the group for their commitment to youth empowerment and reaffirmed her support for partnerships that promote skills development and global knowledge exchange in North Tongu.
