The Statistics Department of the district is responsible for producing, managing, and analyzing data to support informed decision-making and development planning, in line with standards set by the Ghana Statistical Service. It collects data across key sectors, ensures its quality and proper storage, and analyzes it to generate reports, indicators, and insights for policy formulation, planning, and resource allocation. The department maintains district databases, coordinates statistical activities across departments, and collaborates with relevant stakeholders to ensure consistency and integration of data systems.

It also supports monitoring and evaluation by tracking the performance of programmes and projects, and disseminates statistical information to promote transparency and accountability. Additionally, it builds the capacity of staff in data-related processes, ensures adherence to statistical standards and confidentiality, and provides evidence for budgeting, development planning, and risk management within the district.
