NORTH TONGU CIRCUIT SPORTS FESTIVAL HELD AT MEPE DADOME

North Tongu, Tuesday, 24th February 2026

Students, teachers, and education officials gathered at Mepe Dadome for the North Tongu Circuit Sports Festival, an annual event aimed at promoting sports development and identifying young talents across schools in the district.

The festival provided a platform for students from various schools to compete and showcase their abilities in different sporting disciplines. Participants were encouraged to take the competition seriously, as the festival plays an important role in identifying and nurturing sporting talents within the district.

Emphasis was placed on discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship, with recognition that sports contribute significantly to character development and unity among students. Education authorities also encouraged participants to maintain good conduct throughout the competition to ensure a successful and fair event.

The District Education Supervisor in charge of Sports, Dominic Adorboe, urged participants to demonstrate discipline and uphold high standards of behaviour during the games.

This year’s District Inter Circuit Competition was organized into two divisions, Podoe Zone B and Dadome Zone A. Events for Zone B were held earlier at Podoe ahead of the Dadome edition. The next stage of the competition will be the Inter District Tournament scheduled to take place at Dabala.

Officials also used the opportunity to monitor the ongoing National Democratic Congress membership registration exercise within the constituency, ensuring smooth organisation and participation by eligible members.
