On Wednesday, 10th June 2026, the District Chief Executive for North Tongu, Hon. Victoria Amefadzi Yawa Doe, joined members of the Apostles’ Revelation Society (ARS) Church, Battor, during a clean up exercise organised at the North Tongu District Assembly Yard as part of the church’s commitment to environmental sanitation and community service.

The exercise brought together church members who voluntarily dedicated their time and effort to cleaning the Assembly premises, contributing to a cleaner, healthier and more welcoming environment. Their collective action demonstrated the important role that faith based organisations continue to play in supporting community development and promoting environmental responsibility.

The clean up initiative complemented the Assembly’s ongoing efforts to improve sanitation standards across the district and served as a practical example of how partnerships between public institutions and community organisations can contribute to sustainable environmental management.

Hon. Victoria Amefadzi Yawa Doe commended the leadership and members of the Apostles’ Revelation Society Church, Battor, for their selfless service and dedication to promoting cleanliness within the district. She noted that such voluntary initiatives strengthen community participation and inspire a shared sense of responsibility towards protecting the environment.

The District Chief Executive also expressed her appreciation to His Excellency John Dramani Mahama and the Member of Parliament for North Tongu and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, for their continued commitment to improving the living conditions of the people of North Tongu through policies and initiatives that promote community development and environmental sustainability.

She encouraged other religious bodies, corporate organisations, youth groups and community associations to emulate the example set by the ARS Church by actively participating in sanitation and community service activities. She reaffirmed the commitment of the North Tongu District Assembly to working with all stakeholders to build a cleaner, healthier and more sustainable North Tongu for the benefit of all residents.
