
On 18th March 2026, the District Chief Executive for North Tongu, Hon. Victoria Amefadzi Yawa Doe, launched a Premix Fuel Accountability Series with the Landing Beach Committees of North Tongu 1, North Tongu 2, Titikope and Nyatikpo. The initiative aims to promote transparency and responsible management of proceeds from premix fuel sales across the district.
The engagement focused on ensuring that the 53 percent share allocated to communities is properly accounted for, deposited into designated bank accounts, and used for development projects that directly benefit residents.
The meeting brought together key stakeholders, including representatives from the Mepe and Battor Traditional Councils, the Mepe and Battor Development Associations, boat operators, assembly staff, opinion leaders, and other community representatives. Their participation demonstrated a shared commitment to strengthening accountability and ensuring effective use of community resources.
Hon. Victoria Amefadzi Yawa Doe reaffirmed her commitment to strengthening accountability systems and promoting transparent resource management to support sustainable development across North Tongu.
