DCE INSPECTS FODZOKU MATERNITY BLOCK PROJECT

North Tongu

The District Chief Executive made a brief stop at Fodzoku to inspect the maternity block currently under construction at the Fodzoku Clinic while en route to Frankadua for a stakeholder engagement on the rehabilitation of the Atimpoku Asikuma Junction Road under the Big Push Project.

The inspection focused on assessing the progress of work and ensuring that construction activities remain on schedule to support improved healthcare delivery within the community. Satisfaction was expressed with the progress made so far, while contractors were encouraged to maintain quality standards and ensure timely completion of the facility.

The maternity block project is being undertaken by Engage Now Africa and facilitated by Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa. The project is expected to strengthen maternal healthcare services and improve access to safe delivery facilities for women in Fodzoku and surrounding communities.

Nurses at the facility were also encouraged to continue providing dedicated and professional healthcare services to residents, as their role remains critical to improving health outcomes across the district.
