On Saturday, 28th March 2026, the District Chief Executive for North Tongu, Hon. Victoria Amefadzi Yawa Doe, joined teachers, students, traditional leaders, and residents of Avedotoe Dorfor to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Avedotoe D.A Basic School. The occasion highlighted the school’s long standing contribution to education and community development in the area.

In her remarks, Hon. Victoria Amefadzi Yawa Doe outlined government efforts to improve educational infrastructure across the district. She encouraged students to remain committed to their studies and work hard to become responsible and resourceful citizens in the future.

Hon. Victoria Amefadzi Yawa Doe attended the celebration in three capacities. She represented the Member of Parliament for North Tongu and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, and also represented the Volta regional minister, Hon. James Gunu. She further reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to supporting the school in addressing its challenges and made a donation towards the anniversary celebration.

The DCE expressed appreciation to all stakeholders whose continued support has helped sustain the growth of education and secure a brighter future for children in the community.
