
On Tuesday, 26th May 2026, the District Chief Executive for North Tongu, Hon. Victoria Amefadzi Yawa Doe, joined the Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, the Chief Director of the Volta Regional Coordinating Council, Mr. Mohammed Avorna Akape, representatives of the 24 Hour Economy Secretariat, Fidelity Bank and other stakeholders on a working visit to Hari Agro Feed and Foods at Volo.
During the visit, the managing director of the company, Mr. Hari K. Vallurupalli, conducted a tour of the farms and outlined the company’s vision of expanding agricultural production and establishing a sugar factory as part of a broader agro-industrial transformation agenda.
The delegation observed the company’s integrated production model and its commitment to value addition, which presents significant opportunities for job creation, agribusiness growth, and economic transformation within North Tongu and the Volta Region.
Hon. Victoria Amefadzi Yawa Doe commended all stakeholders for their commitment to attracting investment and promoting industrial growth under the government’s 24-hour economy agenda. She reaffirmed the Assembly’s readiness to support initiatives that create employment opportunities, empower local communities, and strengthen economic development across the district.
The visit underscores the growing potential of North Tongu as a destination for agricultural investment and industrial expansion.
