DCE AND MP INSPECT ONGOING EDUCATIONAL PROJECTS ACROSS NORTH TONGU

On Tuesday, 14th April 2026, the District Chief Executive for North Tongu, Hon. Victoria Amefadzi Yawa Doe, joined the Member of Parliament for North Tongu and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, to inspect ongoing government-funded educational projects across the district.

The inspection covered twenty ongoing projects, all of which are progressing steadily with the involvement of competent Ghanaian contractors. The projects form part of the government’s efforts to expand educational infrastructure and improve learning conditions across North Tongu.

As part of the ongoing interventions, all five senior high schools in the district are receiving 2,500 capacity modern dining halls with 2,500 capacity and additional dormitories to accommodate increasing student enrollment. In addition, at least two new basic schools are under construction in each of the six traditional areas of Dorfor, Torgorme, Volo, Battor, Mepe, and Fodzoku.

These projects are expected to improve access to quality education while creating employment opportunities for local residents. The continued investment reflects a strong commitment to transforming education and supporting community development across North Tongu.
