NORTH TONGU ASSEMBLY SUPPORTS 35 PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES WITH START-UP CAPITAL

North Tongu, 16th February 2026. The North Tongu District Assembly has provided financial support to 35 Persons With Disabilities through the District Assembly Common Fund Persons With Disabilities Allocation. The support was aimed at promoting economic empowerment and improving the quality of life of the beneficiaries.

The District Chief Executive, Hon. Victoria Amefadzi Yawa Doe, presented the cash support and urged beneficiaries to use the funds wisely to enhance their livelihoods and achieve financial independence. She reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to supporting vulnerable groups and promoting inclusive development in the district.

The District Social Welfare Officer, Mr. Albert Henyo, advised beneficiaries to use the funds strictly for the intended purposes to ensure lasting impact.

The event was attended by the District Coordinating Director, Mr. Abubakari Yakubu, the Chairman of the FMCG, Hon. Ernest Adika, the President of the PWD Association in North Tongu, Mr. Brown Copper, and other committee members. They all reiterated their commitment to improving the welfare and opportunities of persons with disabilities in North Tongu.
