The Volta Regional Chief Director on Friday paid a working visit to the North Tongu District Assembly as part of his official duty tour of assemblies in the region.
He was accompanied by the Regional Human Resource Director, the Assistant Regional Human Resource Director, and an Assistant Director. The visit formed part of efforts to engage staff, assess operations, and strengthen coordination at the district level.
During a meeting with management and staff of the Assembly, the Regional Chief Director expressed his appreciation for the dedication and hard work of the workforce. He commended staff for their commitment and professionalism, noting that even before the visit, he had received positive reports about the Assembly’s performance.
“I have heard very good stories about the work being done here, and I encourage you to maintain this high standard,” he stated, urging staff to continue working diligently to support effective local governance and service delivery.
The District Planning Office later delivered a comprehensive presentation on the Assembly’s operations, highlighting ongoing projects, development plans, and key achievements.
Following the presentation, staff were given the opportunity to ask questions and share concerns, leading to an interactive session aimed at improving performance and collaboration within the Assembly.
The visit reaffirmed the Regional Coordinating Council’s commitment to supporting district assemblies in achieving their development objectives.
