North Tongu Launches Multiple Development Projects Under the District Assembly Common Fund

North Tongu – 13th November 2025

The North Tongu District Assembly, led by the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Victoria Amefadzi Yawa Doe, has officially launched several major development projects across five communities, all funded through the District Assembly Common Fund.

The DCE cut sod for the construction of:

  • A 3-Unit Classroom Block for Mepe Presby JHS
  • A CHPS Compound for Dorfor-Afaode
  • A 2-Unit KG Block for Dorfor Tagadzi/Atitekpoe DA Methodist JHS
  • A CHPS Compound for Battor Ayiwata
  • A 3-Unit Classroom Block for Mepe Adudornu RC JHS

Hon. Doe emphasized the importance of quality work and timely completion, urging all contractors to adhere to the six-month timeline and deliver durable infrastructure befitting the needs of the beneficiary communities. She assured residents that every community will benefit in due course, reaffirming her commitment under the Resetting Ghana Agenda to ensure equitable development across the district.

The Chiefs, Assembly Members, and residents of the beneficiary communities warmly welcomed the projects and pledged their full cooperation throughout the construction period.

The successful event was supported by the Presiding Member, District Coordinating Director, District Engineer, District Finance Officer, the Education Directorate, Health Directorate, NADMO, and other hardworking staff of the North Tongu District Assembly.

These new projects mark another significant step in strengthening education, healthcare, and community development across North Tongu.
