Financial Donation by PIWAK Natural Health to the women affected by the Akosombo Dam spillage

In a moving demonstration of compassion and corporate social responsibility, PIWAK Natural Health, under the leadership of CEO Dr. Prince Nelson Mortoti, has extended financial support to 200 women affected by the devastating Akosombo Dam spillage across Central, North, and South Tongu.
80 of these beneficiaries are from North Tongu, each receiving GHS 1,000 in direct financial relief — a timely intervention aimed at helping families recover and rebuild after the floods.
The District Chief Executive, Hon. Victoria Amefadzi Yawa Doe, who was present at the event, lauded the initiative as a beacon of hope:
“This support not only provides financial relief, but it also restores hope to households striving to recover from the devastation. On behalf of the people of North Tongu, I extend my heartfelt appreciation to PIWAK for recognizing the resilience of our women and standing with us.”
Hon. Doe emphasized the importance of partnerships that directly impact the lives of vulnerable groups, particularly women who often shoulder the burden of rebuilding in times of crisis.
“This is the kind of partnership we cherish—one that uplifts our communities and affirms our shared humanity,” she added.
As the DCE, she reiterated her ongoing commitment to building strategic collaborations that empower women, strengthen families, and create a more resilient North Tongu.
The gesture by PIWAK Natural Health has been widely praised as an example of how private sector compassion can complement government efforts to support flood victims and promote inclusive recovery.
