North Tongu – 2025
The District Chief Executive for North Tongu, Hon. Victoria Amefadzi Yawa Doe, has begun a district-wide initiative to improve lighting in state institutions as part of efforts to enhance security, safety, and visibility in public facilities.
The exercise commenced today with the repair and restoration of streetlights at several key institutions, including
- Three Kings Special School
- Battor Senior High School
- Mepe Street
- Kizito SHTS
- Aveyime Battor Senior High Technical School
The initiative is aimed at creating safer learning and working environments while boosting community confidence in these public spaces.
Hon. Doe announced that the next phase of the project will focus on:
- Volo Community Day School
- Battor Catholic Hospital
- Dorfor Senior High School
- Multiple CHPS Compounds across the district
The lighting improvement program reflects the Assembly’s commitment to strengthening security infrastructure and supporting the smooth operation of educational and health institutions throughout North Tongu.
