A staff durbar with the entire workforce of the North Tongu District Assembly

In a powerful gesture of leadership and collaboration, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for North Tongu, Hon. Victoria Amefadzi Yawa Doe, held a staff durbar with the entire workforce of the North Tongu District Assembly. The engagement, held on Monday, April 28, 2025, provided a vital platform for open dialogue on the challenges, progress, and direction of the Assembly.
The meeting brought together the Assembly’s 109 staff members, and was preceded by a closed-door session with departmental heads, where the DCE gained firsthand insights into the performance and needs of various units within the District Assembly.
“This engagement was important to me. It allowed me to listen directly to the concerns of our staff and begin conversations on practical steps to address them,” Hon. Doe remarked.
Acknowledging that some of the Assembly’s challenges are long-standing and sensitive, the DCE expressed full commitment to working with leadership and staff to tackle these issues boldly and constructively.
The District Coordinating Director also shared updates highlighting recent progress made by the Assembly — progress that was welcomed by the DCE, who used the opportunity to rally the staff around a shared vision of public service rooted in unity, accountability, and commitment to the people of North Tongu.
“Let us remain focused on our core mandate of serving the good people of North Tongu,” she urged.
Hon. Doe concluded the meeting by announcing plans to embark on a working tour of all Assembly units in the coming days, with the aim of strengthening collaboration, boosting morale, and reinforcing a culture of collective responsibility and excellence in service delivery.
