On Thursday, 11th June 2026, the District Chief Executive for North Tongu, Hon. Victoria Amefadzi Yawa Doe, paid a working visit to Adudornu Zortikpo to inspect the progress of work on the ongoing construction of the Free Primary Health Care Centre, a key health infrastructure project aimed at improving access to quality healthcare services within the district.
The inspection formed part of the Assembly’s routine monitoring of ongoing development projects to ensure that implementation remains on schedule and that the required standards of quality are maintained. During the visit, the District Chief Executive interacted with project personnel, assessed the progress of construction and received updates on the current stage of the project and the remaining works.
When completed, the health centre will provide accessible primary healthcare services to residents of Adudornu Zortikpo and neighbouring communities, reducing the need for patients to travel long distances in search of basic medical care. The facility is also expected to strengthen preventive healthcare, improve maternal and child health services and contribute to better health outcomes across the area.
