On Thursday, 7th May 2026, the District Chief Executive for North Tongu, Hon. Victoria Amefadzi Yawa Doe, joined residents and stakeholders in Juapong for a sanitation exercise aimed at promoting cleanliness and environmental hygiene within the community.

The exercise focused on cleaning the Juapong Market and sweeping portions of the highway from the Juapong Market towards Ho. The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to maintain a clean, safe and healthy environment for residents and traders.

Hon. Victoria Amefadzi Yawa Doe commended all participants for their dedication and commitment towards improving sanitation in the district. She reiterated the Assembly’s commitment to promoting responsible environmental practices and sustaining regular clean up activities across communities in North Tongu.

The exercise once again highlighted the importance of collective action and community participation in maintaining environmental cleanliness and public health.
