On Tuesday, 5th May 2026, the District Chief Executive for North Tongu, Hon. Victoria Amefadzi Yawa Doe, joined the Juapong Zongo community to pay her final respects and participate in the burial rites of the late Zongo Chief in accordance with Islamic tradition.

She was accompanied by the Regional Zongo Caucus Coordinator, Hon. Hajia Tahiru; Acting Constituency Chairman of the NDC, Comrade Dominic Adorboe; Zongo Caucus Coordinator, Alhaji Tanko; Hon. Abu Belko, Assembly Member for the Ayimagonu Electoral Area; and Constituency Communication Officer, Comrade Mornyuie Kennedy, together with other party and community leaders.

On behalf of the Member of Parliament for North Tongu and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the North Tongu District Assembly and the party, an undisclosed amount was donated to support the bereaved family during this difficult period.

Prayers were offered for Allah to grant the late chief eternal rest and comfort his family and the entire Zongo community.
