The North Tongu District Assembly commissioned a newly renovated Community based Health Planning and Services facility in Deve Battor, marking a major step in improving healthcare delivery within the community.
The commissioning formed part of the Assembly’s ongoing efforts to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and expand access to quality medical services across the district. The upgraded facility now includes improved consultation rooms, essential medical equipment, and staff accommodation to support healthcare workers in delivering efficient and reliable services.
The renovation is expected to improve access to quality healthcare for residents of Deve Battor and surrounding communities. The improved facility will support healthcare personnel to provide timely medical attention and enhance patient care, especially for children, pregnant women, and the elderly.
During the ceremony, the importance of community health in promoting overall wellbeing was highlighted. Health staff were encouraged to continue providing compassionate, timely, and professional care to all patients who visit the facility.
The Assembly reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that every community in North Tongu benefits from modern, functional, and reliable health services. Community members were also encouraged to support and maintain the facility to protect the investment and sustain the progress achieved.
